2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Paramedic Hood

A UV gel coat is buffed to a shine on all of our carbon fiber. The same gel coat is used on our fiberglass version, except that the gel coat is black in color. Our carbon fiber will look better the longer you own it and pick up more of a shine every time it is polished because of the UV gel coat we use. We do not use an automotive clear coat that yellows, fades or cracks over time. If your carbon fiber gets scratched there is no need to re-clear the whole part. Simply wetsand and re-buff for a completely new look. Digs gouges, scratches from flying debris? These can be filled with a layer of clear gelcoat, wet-sanded and buffed again.

Gel coat has a tendency of drying out resulting in a white haze. We recommend waxing with a Pure Carnauba at lease once a month for the best results. Ceramic coatings and PPF can be applied to gel coat.

• Stainless steel silver mesh screen is paintable by end user but cannot be removed
• Mounts with OEM hardware, we supply bolts, OEM hood latch is not supplied
• Hood pins are offered for safety reasons. We are not be liable for any damages to the product or the vehicle caused by improper installation
• Always close hood slowly with even pressure on both sides to prevent damage

Hood Pin Option 

• These are recommended as a secondary option to the OEM Catch / D Ring 
• These are to prevent hood failure from an incorrectly adjusted bump stop and to safeguard the D Ring from failure. 
• D rings and Bump stops work together to hold the hood’s nose from bouncing and should be adjusted accordingly to stop the nose of the hood from bouncing. 
• Hood pins are not meant to replace an OEM Catch / D Ring if you want to pin your hood with no Catch / D Ring a hood pin such as a large Hotchkis pin should be run.

Fiberglass

We do not recommend fiberglass to be installed as is. It is meant to be painted prior to installation.

Fiberglass Inner / Carbon Fiber Outer

Carbon fiber gloss finish on the outside bonded to a fiberglass inner skeleton. The outside is a finished product and the inside is meant to be painted. We do not offer paint. It can be left as with no issues depending on your needs.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber gloss finish on the outside bonded to a carbon fiber gloss finish inner skeleton. This is a finished product inside and out.
