2008-2016 Evo X OEM Style Carbon Fiber Hood
This OEM Style hood has been redesigned to meet the engines needs.
The center scoop was reshaped to let more fresh air enter the engine bay near the turbo. The side vents have been enlarged and deepened into the engine bay so that more of the hot air from the intercooler has a better chance of escaping. If your engine is running cooler you are making more power!
Finish
A UV gel coat finish is buffed to a shine on all of our carbon fiber. The same gel coat is used on our fiberglass version, except that coat is black in color. Our carbon fiber will look better the longer you own it and will pick up more of a shine every time it is polished because of the UV gelcoat we use. We do not use an automotive clear coat that yellows, fades or cracks over time. If your carbon fiber gets scratched there is no need to reclear the whole part. Simply wetsand and re-buff for a completely new look. Digs gouges, scratches from flying debris? These can be filled with a clear gelcoat and wet-sanded and buffed again.
We do not recommend fiberglass to be installed as is. It is meant to be painted prior to installation.

Hood Pin Option
- These are recommended as a secondary option to the OEM Catch / D Ring
- These are to prevent hood failure from an incorrectly adjusted bump stop and to safeguard the D Ring from failure.
- D rings and Bump stops work together to hold the hood’s nose from bouncing and should be adjusted accordingly to stop the nose of the hood from bouncing.
- Hood pins are not meant to replace an OEM Catch / D Ring if you want to pin your hood with no Catch / D Ring a hood pin such as a large Hotchkis pin should be run.

Hood latch is fastened on hood for easy install, comes with new hardware (nuts&bolts).
